KETO ADVOCATE PROMOTES COCONUT-BASED FOOD FOR HEALTHY DIET
Unlocking the potential of coconut-based low carb food to promote a healthier diet, the Department of Trade and Industry – Davao del Norte Provincial Office, through its Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) Program, initiated the Coco Keto: Coconut-based Low Carb Diet on September 26, 2025 at the Atrium, Robinsons Tagum.
Ms. Floricel Tunguia Ayad, a low carb life style coach, shared her insights on the science behind the ketogenic diet, underscoring how coconut-derived products naturally complement its low-carb, high-fat requirements.
Cooking demonstrations on ice cream and burger patty using coconut as one of the main ingredients were used to give participants practical ideas on incorporating coconut into daily meals without compromising taste and nutrition.
